At the start it seems as if the play's characters have been transported to a theatrical time and place stripped of references, stripped of a past, in a present which is suspended and without a future. Leka, a playwright, and Viki, a famous actor, find themselves on an island unable to remember how, nor understand why they have ended up there. They attempt to cast light on the mystery. The theme of the theatre, their damned' passion, moves the first act along.
In the second act, a further two lost travellers', an actor and an actress, join these initial characters. Wearing their stage costumes, they act out a scene as if in a trance, before returning to reality to encounter their colleagues.
After a wild and tempestuous storm, the fifth character makes her entrance: an elderly actress who, unlike the others, knows where she is, and gently tries to calm their nightmares. They are all dead, they are ghosts who have left the real stage, just as they have the stage of life.
The theatre is sinking silently, without a single cannon shot, like a heavy and ancient ship... and the few people brave enough to try and save it are driven onto this island, banished, in the trap of life'.

The writer portrays theatre folk: deceptive beings lost in a fictional world. In the face of fear and uncertainty, they borrow their words from their own repertoires.
